FLEX team was founded in 2012 with the aim to build football playing robots. Since the beginning the team won the first place at the national stage in Robochallenge 2008-2009 in Bucharest.
We didn’t stopped there so in two years we learned to build line follower and sumo robots. So far we have built a total of 8 autonomous robots and we competed in local, national and international
competitions in Romania, Austria, Poland, Mexico, Spain and Japan.
The team grew over time, co-opting new members passionate about electronics and robotics, students of the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology
and Faculty of Automatics and Computer Science of the Polytechnic University from Bucharest and from the Technical University of Cluj Napoca.
As of now team Flex has 13 members including Andreea Livia Beciu which is a PhD student at SUPELEC in Paris, France, Teodor Roșca and Cristina Teodorescu which are PhD and master students at EPFL in Lausanne in Switzerland and
Kovari Andrei which is a master student at UTCN in Cluj-Napoca.
